Primitive Neural Pathways / Vaalbara = 2 CD Papersleeve = (CD)
Quite a bit different than the previous full-length, Steve still brings his mastery of this style without the enormous drum beats and cinematic bombast. Straight off there is the huge influence from Oxygene, right down to the crab-like sounding percussive thing (synthetic vibraphone?) in the first track. Second you have excellent melodies with that super-mellow warmth only analog synths can provide, but the emphasis is skewed away from the arpegiator dominated material of The Henge and his main project Zombi. There's also a stab at some Italo-Disco on C Beams. Good stuff that doesn't drag on and is built on competent melodic arrangements.
