Formaldehyde = Expanded 2 CD Edition = (CD)
Originally called the Spoilt Bratz, Bradford's Terrorvision (named after an 80s US horror movie) signed to EMI Records in 1991 under their own imprint label, Total Vegas Recordings. Their very first single release, 'My House' from debut album, Formaldehyde (1992) gained favourable Top 30 chart action and it was no looking back for the party-rock-four-piece of Tony Wright (vocals), Leigh Marklew (Bass), Mark Yates (Guitar) and Ian "Shutty" Shuttleworth (drums). Regular UK Single chart action continued with tracks such as, 'Alice What's The Matter' (#24), 'Oblivion' (#21) and 'Middle Man' (#25) from their EMI sophomore album, How To Make Friends And Influence People, whilst 'Perseverance' (#5) and 'Bad Actress' (#10) from third album, Regular Urban Survivors saw the band's fortunes improve even further. However, it was their homage to the intoxicating effects of Mexico's favoured tipple, that Terrorvision moved further into the mainstream when 'Tequila (Mint Royale Shot)' (from fourth album Shaving Peaches), reached the #02 spot in 1999. Officially released in December 1992, debut album "Formaldehyde" set-out the band's anthemic party-rock manifesto with vim and vigour. Along with 'My House', further single releases such as 'Problem Solved, 'American T.V.' and 'New Policy One' revealed the band's knack of penning infectious sing-a-long choruses housed under a tough, gritty exterior. An appearance at Sheffield's Don Valley Stadium in front of 30-40,000 rock fans as support and by personal request from Def Leppard in June '93 helped their cause immensely, and the complete set-list recorded that day is featured on the second disc in this new 2CD Collector's Edition of 'Formaldehyde'. Fully Re-Mastered and Expanded 2-Disc Collector's Edition. Adds 20-track second disc containing Single B-sides, Alternative Versions and Live performances. Comprehensive story of the album sleeve-notes including a Q&A with bassist Leigh Marklew. Visually packed 16 page booklet featuring rare photos and memorabilia images from the era.
