Esoteric Recordings are pleased to announce the release of a newly re-mastered and expanded edition of the classic self-titled 1972 album by JOHN KONGOS. South African born Kongos had some success in his native country in the early 1960s before moving to Britain to further his career. He recorded his first album for Pye Records' newly formed "progressive" label Dawn in 1970 before signing to Fly / Cube Records with whom he enjoyed two successful and highly creative hit singles "He's Gonna Step on You Again" and "Tokoloshe Man".
