Francoise Hardy (CD)
One of the most tempting women of the 1960's, Francoise Hardy delivers an incredible interpretation of a collection of pop and folk songs from the likes of Jobim, Georges Brassens, and Serge Gainsbourg as well as two stunning self-penned entries with the eloquent "A quoi ça sert" and "La mer, les étoiles et le vent". From striking piano arrangements with accompanist Jean-Pierre Sabar like "Il n'y a pas d'amour heureux" to Herb Alpert style groovy 60's affairs Hardy does it all with style and grace. So comforting and thankfully all in her native French.
