the band, which was founded by Frank Bornemann towards the end of the 1960s and was classified as art and progressive rock early on, has released 20 studio albums to date. Eloy's breakthrough came in the mid-1970s, mostly with spectacular concept albums, which increasingly sold worldwide, as evidenced not only in Germany by numerous high chart rankings and awards decorated with precious metals, but also brought them a great deal of international attention, from which a considerable fan base developed, which continues to this day and is even growing constantly. When a fan club recently came up with the idea of compiling their own favorites from the band's extensive repertoire and producing their own compilations, the idea of offering this officially and releasing Eloy highlights bundled on recordings taken from different eras of the band's history was born. We had the sound edited by Frank Bornemann and sound engineer Benjamin Schäfer in such a way that they fit together perfectly and thus offer the listener a very individual listening experience. This is how "Hidden Treasures" was created and is intended to offer Eloy fans a sound and song combination that has never been heard before.
