The German progressive and art rock pioneers Eloy returned with a new album in summer 2017. It's not an ordinary longplayer, but the first part of the rock opera "The Vision, The Sword And The Pyre", which mastermind Frank Bornemann composed and wrote himself and finally recorded together with his band. After the CD there is now finally also the double LP. "The Vision, The Sword And The Pyre (Part 1)" tells the exciting story of the French national hero Jeanne d'Arc. According to Bornemann, the rock opera is by far the most elaborate production Eloy has ever produced. Therefore the band went to the Horus Studio in Hannover last year. Together with some guests, among them the German singer Isgaard and the children's choir of the Marktkirche Hannover, the first part of the concept album was created, which shows the sound signature of the band despite many surprises.
