The Beauty And The Beer (CD)
This was the album that followed up Beast of bourbon, released a couple of years earlier. And even if this one is not quite up on the same level, it's still a solid album. The fantastic sound they had on Beast, is still present here, and gives justice to the great riffing found here.
Tankard plays german thrash metal the old fashioned way, and quality-wise it ranks all up there with Kreator and Sodom, so you could safely call this band underrated. Unlike the fellow german bands, Tankard never was very evil (lyrically) at all, as the lyrics are pretty...alcoholic...for the most part. The funny lyrics adds something extra to the music in my opinion, and that's solely a good thing.
