Black And Blue (CD)
This is probably the chillest, funkiest album the Stones made. I'd even say it is their homage to 1970s-style funk and chill, from the frisky Ohio-players disco-ish "Hot Stuff," through the throwaway but charming "Cherry Oh Baby" and the sweet "Fool to Cry." It's all one big groove, more like the Stones just messing around than trying to create perfectly crafted songs. These days, when I want to hear some Stones, I tend to reach for this one more often than I do Exile or Sticky Fingers, and when I do, I'm never disappointed--the Stones at their funkiest and grooviest put a smile on my face every time.
