Live In Concert = LP = (LP)
Recorded on May 6, 1973 at the Winterland Theater in San Francisco!
They were regarded as the exceptional band and were celebrated in the 70s as a supergroup! In 1972 Steve Mariott started with one of the wildest live acts and spontaneously with the top ten album "Smokin". Everything else is legend! In Concert, recorded in brilliant quality for eternity by the legendary radio show King Biscuit Flower Hour, was recorded on the tour to the 1973 hit "Eat It" and presents the band as hard as never before. Guitarist Peter Frampton had quit because his colleagues rocked too heavy, but his successor Clem Clempson can more than duly replace him with his energetic power play. Meanwhile frontman Steve Mariott successfully tries his hand at being a more aggressive Roger Daltrey double and now and then lets himself be accompanied by three background singers who lend the rucksack sound a pleasant soul touch. This part - currently not available in Europe at all, you have to have it just because of its elemental force and the fabulous sound!
