Overdrive was part of a still-young Swedish metal scene in the early 80's, with an intro EP and two albums to their credit, the second (Swords And Axes) being a pretty accomplished and heavy affair for its day. The band disbanded in 1985, with a brief reformation in the early nineties and a one-time reunion gig in 1997. Guitarist Janne Stark has remained active in the rock scene, doing some solo work as well as recording with a band called Locomotive Breath.
