Winds Of Disdain (CD)
Norgwegian band Trail Of Tears have been active for over 25 years. After a break, the band returned four years ago and are now releasing their new, dark goth-metal album "Wind Of Disdain".
Trail of Tears formed in 1997 after some members had previously experimented under the name Natt. In early 1997, the band recorded the demo "When Silence Cries..." at Jailhouse Studio, which was well received. This led to a contract with DSFA Records and in November 1998 they released their debut album "Disclosure in Red". This was followed by extensive touring throughout Europe and appearances with bands such as Tristania, Cradle of Filth and Biohazard. In 2000, the second album "Profoundemonium" was released on Napalm Records. The band continued their touring activities and performed at festivals such as the Wacken Open Air. in 2001, the band signed a contract with Napalm Records and recorded "A New Dimension of Might" in 2002. 2005 saw the release of "Free Fall into Fear", a heavier album recorded in Kristiansand. The band toured Europe with Therion and Tristania and performed at the Summer Breeze Festival. More albums and countless live shows followed until the band took a break in 2013. in 2020, founding member Ronny Thorsen initiated the reunion of the band with old and new members as well as singer Ailyn Gimenez.
