Arjen Anthony Lucassen presents a new Star One album titled "Revel In Time" in 2022. The record by the Dutch rock musician, composer and multi-instrumentalist (Vengeance, Ayreon) comes more than 10 years after the heavy metal project's last album. "Victims Of The Modern Age" was released back in 2010. Lucassen explained his Star One comeback as follows: "Ayreon is kind of the mother ship for all my music. It contains all the different styles of music that I like to listen to and create. But I'm also always looking for challenges and trying to create something new and original. Working within a certain framework forces you to do that, so sometimes I like to limit myself and focus on just one style. For example, with Star One, I focus on the metal side of Ayreon. That means you won't hear the exuberant use of acoustic instruments like violin, woodwinds, cello, horns, dulcimer, mandolin, etc. that are so often heard on Ayreon albums." For this release, Arjen decided to record each song with a different singer. He announced the singers and also the contributing instrumentalists on "Revel In Time" one by one on his Facebook page. Featured are Roy Khan and Tony Martin, among others, who contributed vocals on the first single, "Lost Children Of The Universe."
