"Here Comes Shuggie Otis" is the debut album by guitarist and songwriter Shuggie Otis, released when he was only 18 years old. Produced and arranged by his father, Johnny Otis, the set contains nine original songs co-written by the two. The album consists of equal parts vocal pieces and instrumentals. This achievement earned him the title of "child prodigy." The album has stood the test of time, as tracks like "Gospel Groove" and "Funky Thithee" remain fan favorites to this day.
