Turis Fratyr (CD)
What a terrific release from this band! They have a truly unique sound. They somehow manage to make Black metal vocals not make you want run to church! The folk influence on their music makes this album very upbeat (for lack of a better word) and non-threatening. Many of the songs have a rapid fire pace which should please the speed metal freaks out their. Best tracks for me are "Wingthors Hammer", "Unter der Eiche" and "Nordheim". My main complaint is the lyrics are not in English (darn us pompass Americans!) I am very happy Equilibrium has signed with Nuclear Blast. This is well deserved.
