Release 5/2. Atmospheric metal masters Isis have been together for 10 years, and to celebrate, Ipecac records has released a maxi-single, "Holy Tears," off of their last album, IN THE ABSENCE OF TRUTH. Pairing the album version of the song with a live version, a remix by the Melvins, and a video, the single displays every aspect of the song's power and grandeur. At times as swirling and psychedelic as the Cure, HOLY TEARS is also as bruising as a 50-foot tidal wave, and handing it over to the influential Melvins is a no-brainer considering how much their sludgy style contributed to Isis's sound.
