Steampacket 1965 - 1968 = LP = (LP)
Steampacket from Stockholm was founded in the fall of 1965. After three gigs in Sweden in the spring of 1966, the band went on tour in England, discovered that there was already a Steampacket that included Rod Stewart, changed their name to The Longboatmen, but called themselves Steampacket II back in Sweden. The band released eight singles, but strangely never an LP. Today, the singles are collector's items and "Take her any time" is one of the best freakbeat / garage fuzz tracks of the 60s. Now Steampacket's gems are coming together on LP for the first time.
