I Was A King (CD)
Oslo, Norway's I Was A King debuted in 2007 with the album Losing Something Good For Something Better. They were labeled "royally brilliant" and given 8 out of 10 by NME. The Independent, The Times, and The Guardian gave similar praise. This follow-up features performances by Emil Nikolaisen (Serena Maneesh), Sufjan Stevens, Daniel Smith (Danielson), and Gary Olson (Ladybug Transistor). Front man Frode Stromstad has a unique gift for creating addictive melodies with distinctive roots to the 60s distorted through the sound of the 90s.
