Parable (CD)
On CD, here's a reissue of the superb 1974 X-ian private press garage-psych LP by a band from Glasgow. Featuring raw fuzz guitar, Vox Continental organ sounds, a healthy dose of feedback and influences from The Who as well as Black Sabbath and tough bluesrock, WHITE LIGHT didn't spread the message of The Lord in church, but at loud clubs and big rock venues. In 1972 the guys were finalists in a talent contest organized by Melody Maker magazine. The band's album includes the side-long title-track which has to be heard to be believed. In Hans Pokora's '7001 Record Collectors Dream' guide 'Parable' has been given the maximum rarity scale rating. This reissue includes liner notes and photos.
