8:30 = 2 LP = (LP)
"8.30" was first live album of the jazz fusion band. The album won a Grammy Award for "Best Fusion Performance". The album is named after the band's habit of starting concerts at 8:30 pm. At the time of the tour, the band was a quartet that would perform a total of 2.5 hours on stage including a solo performance by each member. The "8: 30" tour took place at the height of WEATHER REPORT's success, so the setlist drew on hits like "Black Market," "Birdland" and "Teen Town."
