Of the various myths and legends that have sprung up since Jimi Hendrix's death in '70, one of the most enigmatic and enduring concerns his relationship with Velvert Turner, the New York born axeman who claimed both to be friend and protege of the late guitarist. This album was originally released on Family Productions in '72, in fact it came in 2 versions, same catalogue number and same sleeve, to be distuinguished only by their matrix numbers. This reissue is the '16741' with crazed, heavy solo guitar dubs. (The other, the 16951, is the'soul' version with the second lead guitar overdubs removed). The 2nd disc holds the "Soul mix", which the first disc holds the "rock mix".
