Definitive Collection 1969-1978 (CD)
The 1970s were very, very good for Rod Stewart. He had left the Jeff Beck Group, joined the Faces, recorded his most highly acclaimed solo albums ever for Mercury Records, and had the hits that launched his solo career into International pop megastardom. This is the period of time that this new compilation focuses on, and this is also the first single disc compilation that includes all of his biggest hits and most significant recordings of that fruitful decade; i.e.: the #1s "Maggie May," "Tonight's The Night (Gonna Be Alright)," and "Da Ya Think I'm Sexy," plus such key recordings as "Reason To Believe," "You Wear It Well," and "You're In My Heart (The Final Acclaim)." In other words, the first single disc to combine the biggest '70s Warner Brothers hits with the biggest and best of the Mercury years.
