As there can sometimes be too much of a good thing, the heavy guitar sound and cosmic lyrics are given a rest on this one. THE UNIVERSE IS MENTAL is mostly synthesizer and space echo guitar driven instrumentals combined with paleolithic era shaman trance beats. It is not laid back ambient music! Very space rock and in some ways could be the most psychedelic release in the series so far...
