Wild Child (CD)
Mother Gong, a spin off from Gong led by Gillie Smyth, recorded this album in Wales on the eve of their 1989 British tour. Wild Child was the result of what Gilli terms "spontaneous composition" where he would enter the studio with just the lyrics, and turn on the tapes. There were no rehearsals and no retakes. The opening track 'Today is Beautiful' is typical Mother Gong, all gradual space whisper and gentle splinters of sound.
