Born To Be / Affectionately Melanie (CD)
2007 digitally remastered two-fer from the Folk Rock singer/songwriter featuring two albums on one disc. Her first album Born To Be was released in 1968 (and re-issued in 1970 as My First Album) and features a mix of multi-influenced originals alongside covers of Dylan's 'Mr. Tambourine Man' and A.A Milne's 'Christopher Robin (Is Saying HisPrayers)'. It received critical acclaim in both the US and the UK. Affectionately Melanie (released October 1969) was recorded in London with Donovan's arranger John Cameron and demonstrates Melanie's fast-developing talents as a songwriter.
