This is the new album from California's Infinity. Their debut was recorded from 1977-1982 but never released until Synphonic rescued it from oblivion and put it out on CD in 1996. This picks up where they left off in the early 80s and features five of the original members plus Chris Smith (of Trap/French TV fame) on guitars & violin. The sound is very much in the symphonic rock tradition but, and I know you hear this all the time but it is really true, with their own stamp on it as well. The album clocks in at 32 minutes and 13 seconds, making it (by today's standards) a mini-album. However it would not have been that short back in 1977 when albums averaged around 40 minutes! So while you only get about half the running time of most contemporary releases, the price is certainly in line with that. A very worthwhile release featuring lush symphonic arrangements, female vocals, thoughtful lyrics and a nice eco-friendly package with nice artwork, too.
