By the end of the '70's Derringer infuse in his hard rock musical arrangements some mainstrem elements, not very comercial but little more accesible to the listner. Guitars and Women released in 1979 is still a good album, some pieces are realy strong like Something Warm and Everything, realy great tunes. Also must be mentioned is that legendary Todd Rundgren did some backing vocals on this album and aswell he is the producer together with derringer. Again a good record, maybe little on the mainstream side of hard rock , but pleasent never the less. I prefer Derringer album from 1976 over this one, but this Guitars and Women shows that Rick Derringer is still and remain and overlooked guitarist in hard rock zone.
