Puhdys Live (Das 3000. Konzert · Waldbühne · Berlin) = 2 CD = (CD)
The Puhdys are one of the most hard-working bands in German rock history, no question. Hardly anyone has made as many appearances as she has. The most famous formation of the DDRock could never be enclosed under the East German cheese bell. In addition to concerts at home, Dieter "Maschine" Birr, Dieter "Quaster" Hertrampf and Mannen also visited the socialist brother countries (Poland, Czechoslovakia, Soviet Union, Cuba) very early on. And they also stopped by the capitalist class enemy in the West (Federal Republic, USA, Holland, etc.). Since its official foundation in 1969 in Oranienburg, masses of gigs have come together in front of countless listeners.

But that's not enough of the surprises: Via film recording, the group once again reminded of former members, they provided eye-catchers with pyrotechnic effects and dry ice fog, and even offered a humorous show interlude in black Blues Brothers costumes with suit, hat and sunglasses.
On the program were on the evening in front of 22,000 enthusiastic spectators pieces from all phases of Puhdys' career. Early works such as the number one hit "Lebenszeit" from 1976 were heard here as well as the song success "Rockerrente" from the eighties. And with "Queen" and "Wild Peace", the setlist also included more recent compositions. It goes without saying that with "Alt wie ein Baum", "Wenn ein Mensch lebt" and "Geh zu ihr" (both from the DEFA cult filmThe Legend of Paul and Paula), the unforgettable classics of the Eastern pioneers were involved. The Puhdys offered all this as part of the sold-out open-air event with the passion and joy of newcomers to the scene. Obviously, even after 30 yea
