Charlie Mariano is wasting his time here on sixties pop-singers, whose singing manners/lyrics are incredibly naive and dated. It's a shame really, since the instrumental virtuosity of Mariano's wind play is spectacular. Furthermore, some of the dual drumming is properly progressive and is following the psychedelic trends of the time with the distorted guitars that appear on certain tracks.
