Amazingly, considering his musical career has spanned four decades, '05's "Things Buried" was Richard Barbieri's debut solo album. This career has taken him from the seminal recordings he made with JAPAN in the seventies right through to the current worldwide success he is enjoying with PORCUPINE TREE. "Things Buried" is an instrumental work that highlights Barbieri's unique approach to sound and mood, ranging from textural atmospherics to dynamic rhythmic passages. The album also features the distinctive styles of Percy Jones (Brian Eno, Brand X) on fretless bass guitar and Andy Gangadeen (The Bays, Massive Attack) on drums.
