Before Mat McNerney, mastermind of the Finnish psychedelic folk act Hexvessel, delivered the sensational debut "Climax" with Beastmilk and celebrated further successes in the post/punk revival after renaming it Grave Pleasures, he was already skilfully and visionarily poaching through the folk of the 70s. Hexvessel developed over two albums into McNerney's main band and spun a catchy as well as idiosyncratic style out of King Crimson, The Beatles, The Doors and "The Wicker Man" soundtrack, which now reaches its peak so far.
