"In the cage, in the cage you will stay, they lock you up for life"
While the pandemic paralyzed the entire world and prevented bands from touring, Latin America's biggest metal export, SEPULTURA, refused to sit back and remain like a caged animal.
Like the flowers growing from the body of the deceased bird featured on Eduardo Recife's stunning, colorful cover artwork, the thrash metal pioneers from Belo Horizonte took advantage of their unexpected time off to launch a project that has kept them busy throughout 2020: "'Sepulquarta' was born at the very beginning of the pandemic, when everything was at a standstill," recalls guitarist Andreas Kisser. "We had a new album out, but we couldn't tour for it. So we created this recurring event where we could talk to our fans all over the world, play our music and share, it was a blast! 'Sepulquarta' kept us alive and strong during one of the most difficult times in human history."
