The Pattern-Seeking Animals will release a new album in 2022. "Only Passing Through" follows the albums "Pattern-Seeking Animals" (2019) and "Prehensile Tales" (2020), making it the third work from the progressive rock supergroup from California, which was formed in 2018 and consists of former Spock's Beard musicians Ted Leonard (vocals, guitar), Jimmy Keegan (drums) and Dave Meros (bass), as well as John Boegehold (synthesizer, keyboard). "Our third album picks up where 'Prehensile Tales' left off, but quickly takes several stylistic turns as it unfolds. Everyone involved made sure this album was a lot of fun to record and we're all looking forward to everyone finally hearing it soon!" says Boegehold about the record. Jimmy Keegan adds, "This new album draws from many sources, we did our best for it. We had to work pretty hard to find the right mood for each song. To call it prog wouldn't be right. We're all very different, and yet there's a very unique sound that runs throughout the album."
