Formed in 1981, Slayer stormed the world with a new blend of metal and punk - harder, faster and darker than any other - setting a new standard that defined not only a genre, but an attitude. Throughout Slayer's history, the band has never let up on unleashing their extreme and focused sonic assault, and against all temptations, Slayer has always chosen to remain crashing and brutal, steadfastly refusing to conform to the mainstream.
