Watch = LP = (LP)
I just got this after having heard this last 29 years ago. My school mates were heavily into MMEB back then. I totally love this. Circles is fantastic, my favourite track at the moment. It's just beautifully arranged. DoDL/Fish Soup is spacey. Chicago Institute is wonderful, but I would have reduced the guitar noodling a bit and repeated the intro and outro theme ("I thought life was...) a bit more at the end. "Davy" is a classic, of course. Martha's Madman is probably my all time favourite MMEB tune. What was so good about them was how they could change gear and layer the music like a painting but still keep it tight. The Mighty Quinn, hmm, I can see why some people hate this one. Maybe the band overdid it a little bit here with the mass appeal. It almost becomes a carnival song. This is probably the track (and LP) that made them hugely popular in Germany. Still, you got to admire them for this "we don't give a damn" attitude, prog was obviously not a religion for them. No time to stand still.
