Blue Dawn have been conceived in late february, 2009, by drummer Andrea Di Martino ( previously with The Void) and bassist Enrico Lanciaprima (previously with God.zilla, Electric Motherfuckers and Medea Tarantula). Both experienced musicians, they recruit vocalist Monica Santo, who had previously collaborated with local bands Sabba Calabra, Hexenfaust and David Krieg' s hex, and guitarist Fabio La Faci (previously with Ranauei). The band is influenced by seventies hard rock bands like Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Who, Deep Purple and more experimental stuff like King Crimson, Magma and Black Widow. Both original compsitions and cover songs are constantly rehearsed, unfortunately, shortly after, La Faci is forced to leave because of health issues and the band begins looking for a new guitar player. After many auditions, guitarist Paolo Cruschelli, who had played before with local cover bands Kwenda Kzuri, El Zeppel and Hot Aftermath, is recruited.
