The Flamin' Groovies were a self-assured Garage Rock band from San Francisco that ran the gamut from dirty Rock n Roll to pristine Power Pop. A true cult band that were always considered to be in a double bind of playing the wrong kind of music at the wrong time, as well as not looking the part in an era dominated by the likes of The Grateful Dead and Jefferson Airplane. Supersnazz was their debut album originally released in 1969. The album is a rollicking good time made even better by the sequencing which offers a full range of surprises. Everything from straight ahead boogie, slow ballads, and 50's rockers!
