Is it better to be deprived of sleep than by the much-praised adept? The Swedes have been around since 2004, and with their sweet post-hardcore / metalcore sound they have not only become Scandinavia's most prominent export in Genredingen over the years - Adept prove with their fourth longplayer that a lot of live experience and persistence can bring the desired fine-tuning! For a whole year the band worked on "Sleepless", which finally took shape in Studio Fredman. The result - the colossal opener "Black Veins" already weighs the listener in safety - not only testifies to the much conjured maturity, because Adept have also found the perfect mixing ratio between roaring, metallic parts and airy post-arrangements. Catchiness is not a disgrace, and yet "Sleepless" offers enough HC down-to-earthness and abruptness. The big one for the Swedes!
