"Cornell 5/8/77" is the recording of their May 8, 1977 concert featuring Jerry Garcia, Donna Jean Godchaux, Keith Godchaux, Mickey Hart, Bill Kreutzmann, Phil Lesh and Bob Weir playing Barton Hall on the campus of Cornell University in Ithaca, New York. For many fans, the performance is still considered the absolute highlight of their career.
