Old, but unforgotten (at least with a small bunch of die hard maniacs) is "Hellish Crossfire", the debut album of German speedies IRON ANGEL. The band started out in the early 80s in the Hamburg area, released 2 demos, of which the latter, "Legions Of Evil", brought them a deal with Steamhammer Records. And 1985 they released "Hellish Crossfire". As already mentioned, Speed Metal was the profession of the band, the simpler kind. Without too much thought, straight from the guts, wild, raw and with lots of bumblebees in the arse the album then as now turns your ears into rhubarb leaves. Who expects variety and technical prowess from a Metal band has been/is at the wrong address with IRON ANGEL. But even though it reads pretty negatively so far, the album is anything but bad, in times, where most bands try to outdo themselves in fuddlings and/or bombastic elements or childish melodies, a work such as "Hellish Crossfire" shows the true spirit of Heavy Metal!
