Midnite Dynamite (CD)
The title song drives from the onset, with a head-groove chorus and backbeat. "Red Hot" has excellent twin-guitar layering, and "Scalet Fever" has great sass--a catalogue favorite. "Lie Like a Rug" is driving party rock, "Bang Bang (Balls of Fire)" and "Layin' Rubber" are both solid, and "Sex" is raunchy and just plain splendid. "Walkin' Away" is one of my all-time fave power ballads. Mesmerizing keyboard dabblings, yearning and sincere vocals, and a tugging chorus. Great stuff all around.
