Tracks From The Alps (CD)
THE WATCH is a 5 piece band born in 2001. Their music is inspired by classic 70's style progressive-rock. Melodies and energy are the main features of The Watch music. Their brand new album "Tracks from the Alps" is the band's sixth studio album, which looks like being one of their best since their first one released in 2001. The
musical atmospheres in the album change a lot through the songs, from very rock powerful progressions to quiet and more acoustic sections performed by 12 strings guitars arpeggios and electric pianos. Producing the album
the band has used only original instruments from the 70s, like mellotron, hammond organ, synthesizers branded moog, electric pianos hohner (the
same one used by Beatles), double neck and 12 strings electric and acoustic guitar. Arrangements are reach and melodies are always to be discovered
and something never foregone, this is what keeps the tension high when listening to this album. Lyrics are all about the Alps, a place that was very
important in some of the band's members life. From 2008 The Watch are touring regularly and extensively all around Europe, UK, US and Canada
bringing their music on stage and adding some tunes from the band that has inspired them throughout the years, Genesis. The Watch live showcases are
something a prog-rock music lover should not miss !
