Songs From The Drawer = Digipack = (CD)
After a fantastic debut with Modest Midget's album The Great Prophecy of a Small Man, all written, composed, produced and initially performed by Lonny, he now offers the more intimate and straightward album Songs From The Drawer.
Once more the music seems to have rich roots from many directions, but the final overall sound is one, and unique. Again the traces of his background as a rock guitarist, as an established classical composer, as an arranger, and as a film composer are all very present. The album contains three instrumental tracks, each one of them completely different from the other, and as a cover version of a McCartney song (Tomorrow). There is also his one and only track so far that was written and sung in Dutch, telling the experience of a foreigner in the Netherlands, from a particular angle. Most of the album has been produced around the same period that the Modest Midget debut cd was recorded, meaning that as eclectic as the Modest Midget album seemed to be, this cd covers "the other side" of the same world.
