Floret Silva = LP = (LP)
A notable reissue of a notable Italian album from the mid-'80s, featuring minimalist composer Kay Hoffman and Welsh soprano Jacqueline Darby, who had previously worked with the Italian avant-prog band Pierrot Lunaire. Other musicians of Pierrot Lunaire also contributed to this wonderful work, which at times sounds like Vashti Bunyan fronting Sunforest. In other words, 'Floret Silva' contains a haunting mixture of medieval music and prog-/psych-folk with Latin lyrics, straight from the 'Carmina Burana'. The 4-page insert features liners by Richard Allen and rare pix. The sound is taken from the original master tapes.
