Although Theatre of Tragedy's second and third albums are usually praised before this one, the self-titled remains a very solid album and a good listening experience. The beauty-and-the-beast style, supposedly created here, is done to great effect, and each song is good at capturing the "ye olde" atmosphere the band was going for
