Andromeda, a promising power trio in the late 60s, was led by the excellent lead guitarist John Du Cann. The band mixed Psychedelia with Heavyrock and the famous radio DJ John Peel became one of their biggest fans
Their self-titled 1969 album contained songs like "Too Old", "The Day Of Change" and more detailed arrangements of "Turns To Dust" and "Return To Sanity
Unfortunately Andromeda broke up shortly after the album release, the story behind it is told by Chris Welch in his detailed liner notes. One thing is certain: this band could have become one of the most famous and successful bands of the progressive rock genre.
