Usually included in the retro/70's-inspired metal discussion with The Sword, Witchcraft, et al, Canada's Priestess haven't made any inroads towards establishing an identity of their own, but as strong as the songs on Prior to the Fire, we're not sure it matters. Picking up where 2006's a tad overrated Hello Master left off, Prior to the Fire sees Priestess evoke the ghosts of Thin Lizzy, classic Motorhead, and classic-anyone-else on this 11-song effort.
