Eccentricity (CD)
ELFFERICH FOUR is the name of an experienced bunch of Dutch musicians, coming from Delft and led by drummer and composer Jeroen ELFFERICH. Their style can be labeled as instrumental electric jazz, filled with blues, funk, Progressive rock, bits of folk and hits of BARTOK. The asymetrical or unusual rhythms are mostly used here. The ensemble created an unique sound, self-named "Hardpopjazz". One could sometimes think of NIACIN, the six-strings being replaced by keyboards. Published in the year 2007 on the Great Winds label, "Eccentricity" is already the fourth offering of the Dutch band. Featured here are eleven tracks both sophisticated and easy-listening.
