"The Piper At The Gates Of Dawn" is the debut album of Pink Floyd. Originally, the record was released in 1967.
The recordings took place at the legendary Abbey Road Studios in London. Norman Smith, who also worked as a sound engineer for the Beatles, was at the mixing desk. "The Piper At The Gates Of Dawn" is the only album they recorded without their later frontman David Gilmour. Instead, band founder Syd Barrett was the musical director of songwriting and recording.
