Nachruf = Digipack = (CD)
Expect the unexpected...in this case after one year only.
If you think you have to run with the pack and release a minimum of three albums in eight years you've clearly missed out on something: EWIGHEIM.
Yantit (Eisregen), Allen (The Vision Bleak) and Schwadorf (The Vision Bleak) have built the basement of an unmistakable own identity with their previous albums "Mord Nicht Ohne Grund", "Heimwege" and "Bereue Nichts" - an identity free from cliched sounds and dissembling ambitions, reduced to the very core of itself.
Unimpressed and stubborn like an old cow, the trio is now following this path with the new album "Nachruf".
Yes, that's right - EWIGHEIM is way more than just entertainment.
As in the past, the band manages to create a connection between lyrics and music into an uncoupled, inhuman picture. A picture where the listener can see himself, that offers him solutions, that derides him cynically and leaves him behind lonely in the end...in both thoughts and music.
Musically EWIGHEIM - rising above any doubt - follow their own path from danceable electronic rock songs like "Die Augen Zu" or "Falsches Herz" over despairing ballads like "Liebes Lied" to the doomy swamps of "Sanctum Imperium" (with the addition of M.Roth's bloody voice).
In the end, "Nachruf" turns out to be an unbelievable complex album, which marks a new highlight in the journey that started back in 2000.
Haunting and off the beaten tracks...
