The World's Insane = Digipack = (CD)
On the face of it, 'The World's Insane' might seem to imply that the sheer bloody minded joy that permeated the band's live debut '100 M.P.H.' album was, by the time of its follow up release, largely a thing of the past. Nothing could be further from the truth. Witness the cover of Hawkwind's perennial 'Silver Machine' and the use of bagpipes on the album - not a common occurrence, even in 1981! - and you'll see only too clearly that the playful nature that had been so much a part of Vardis up until this point in time was very much in evidence. 'The World's Insane' was to prove to be the closest the band was to get to capturing the classic Vardis sound on vinyl. Thankfully, they managed to do a fine job of just that and the album remains a largely undiscovered NWOBHM minor classic...until now, that is.
